Vacuum Decay, a poem

I was worried about a vacuum decay

I read it a book that maybe we all vanish

maybe we all vanish right away.

The instability of all

the instability of nothing

how can we be anything

when everything is everything

all connected in a universe of particles

all connected in ways that we call

individuals

but there’s no line.

Up close there is no line

that says what’s me and what’s you

and what’s the desk we sit at

the bed we lay in.

Up close it’s all fog.
